How to cast out the Spirit of Pride? Spirit of <Sin> Series.

This is a big sin that catches us off-guard every time we taste a bit of success.
Kings and kingdoms have fallen. The devil himself let pride control him as he attempted to overthrow God and steal His glory.
So how do we escape or cast aside this spirit of pride?
It is not possible to cast aside all pride. There will always be pride when victory arises, even if we are cautious enough to not compare ourselves with others.
But it’s in whom that pride is in, which can be changed and will determine right from wrong.
In the post before this, we learned that Jesus goes before you and helps you fight and attain victory.
Then, the solution is simple. In fact, God has already given us the answer.
Boast in the Lord’s grace and victory rather than your own, for it’s not your own victory.
Boast in the Lord’s victory over your life!
This is the only boasting you can do!
1 Corinthians 1:25-31
For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
This is Righteous Pride.
Pride in our Lord.
So how do we boast in the Lord?
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Boast in His love, His generosity, His boundless grace, His righteousness, His justness, His majesty, and His wondrous works. Spread His word! Don't be ashamed!
Some might spit at you, some might scorn you, some might put you down. But so what?
Christ lived His life and died for you and me. His amazing love needs to reach the ears and hearts of every creature, to the ends of the earth! No one compares. No one can take away from His Character. No one can take away the truth that is Jesus Christ.
As His love pours into you, let it overflow into the lives of others He sends in your path so that they might taste it and see the goodness of God through your vessel.
