John 15:4a

Remain in me, as I also remain in you.

This world is ever-evolving. Universe expands infinitely and our lives keep changing even if little by little, there's ups and downs - ultimately defined as chaos.

We yearn for some stability, something that can allow us to settle down, be at peace - and not in a dead way.

One thing that I have gathered throughout my now, 21 years of living, is that the only true constant in life is God, His Character, His unfailing promises and mysterious ways.

Whether I'm on fire for God, serving in ways like never before or if I'm negligent and running away from God, doing everything in this world that gives me pleasure and temporal peace of mind but never looking to God for ultimate rest. Eventually, the time comes when I'm too exhausted from my own efforts and feel compelled to ask for help and God's grace. Despite my unfaithfulness, God's faithfulness never ceases to amaze me. It is in these trying times that He always answers and offers me peace in the knowledge that at the end of day, it's God's good and glorious will that will happen, perhaps not my will(not what I think is best for me) but His good pleasing and perfect will.

{Romans 12: 2}

I can be rest assured that it's not the bad, evil or demeaning will or outcome that ought to occur. As long as I come back to the only anchor this life presents us with - God's love, Jesus's grace and the sweet communion with the Holy Spirit.

GOD IS THE ONLY CONSTANT.

God's character is that He's like the father of the prodigal son waiting for us to come back to him and when we are lost in our own ways and call out to Him, He is the good shepherd:

Matthew 18:12-14

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish."

Ultimate rest and peace only derives from clinging onto God and His unending love for us.

He is the anchor, Christ is the Cornerstone, the literal foundation that never breaks, never changes or degrades but instead ALWAYS, really ALWAYS holds us up; carries us through it all.

1 Peter 2:6b

“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”

Experiencing His constant faithfulness, pushes me to be faithful to Him and remain in Him as well for He is good. I hope you can do the same. Remain in Him as He abides in you, let His power work in you and change you so your ways coalesce with God's perfect will. So your heart says and follows exactly what God's Word says; for a man after God's own heart is the man God looks for and prospers.

John 15:4-7

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
