GOD’s working in YOU! Allow it Fam! Work with Him! Allow Him access to all your being.
God’s grace is being extended to you right now! Will you accept it and allow Him to work in your life or will you reject His gift of grace?
Where is God in my life right now? Where is God’s grace in my life?
Every second, every breath we take on this planet Is the evidence of the grace of God in our lives. We could have been wiped out as soon as we rejected God.
Actually, God is all knowing He knew we were going to reject Him yet He made us, yet He chose to die for our sins; He chose to die so that we can get another chance to choose Him - to choose life. That in itself is grace from God.
"I don’t believe in God because there is so much evil, there is so much suffering how can a gracious God allow as such?"
There is so much suffering because of us. We chose this route of suffering; He never wanted this for us. In fact, all this time all He wants to do is to end our suffering. Once we choose to believe in Jesus' death on the cross for our sins and victory via His resurrection, we are saved, we are saved from Eternal suffering in hell that we chose to go to. And then we blame God, why did he create us, why did he create hell, why can’t he just forgive us?
He IS willing to forgive us as long as we trust in what Jesus did; because Jesus paid the price, Jesus made us whole again, made us holy and perfect in the eyes of God. Hell only exists because God is holy and we chose to reject him, chose to sin and continue living in that sin instead of staying holy like God. Remember God created us in His image.
If you tend to question why does hell exist, ask yourself this, aren’t you asking this question simply because you want to continue in your sinful life? The truth is this - we love sins and pleasures of this world much more than our love for God.
Now why would God allow someone like that, someone who doesn’t even love Him and wants to be with him willingly, to go to heaven? Isn’t He kind of forced to send you to hell? He respects your choice to not love him and to love sin more than Him and so why would He punish you by forcing you against your will to spend eternity with Him in heaven? He is holy, so is His dwelling place, heaven. If you love sin more than God, you would hate to go heaven a place with no sin. I believe that is how carefully designed His plans are, in fact there's probably a lot more to it than just this but this is what my human brain could conclude from a ponder upon the insights by the Holy Spirit.
Now don’t ask, "Why can’t I continue sinning and not go to hell?" That’s like asking why is the serial killer getting jailed or the death penalty.
Every decision you make has a consequence. You do wrong, you have to be ready to face the punishment. If we aren’t punished for our sins, then God is an unfair God. But we know that is not true. His grace is boundless but he is also the fair judge. If there is no punishment meted out by God for our sins, then God is in a sense condoning the wrongs we have done and will be held an irresponsible Father, Judge and Holy being. In fact, it would mean compromising His own righteousness and holiness. Which is precisely why a punishment is meted out for our sins. By the Grace of God we can choose to trust in our Saviour Jesus Christ who so graciously took up our punishment OR we can choose to take up that punishment in Hell.
Be thankful for every second we get to live, it is through His grace. Think about it. How many corners of buildings have you walked past? How many times could you have gotten into an accident or collision? How many times could we have gotten hit by a meteorite or an asteroid? Count all your blessings. He can choose to judge us anytime He wants. He knows what choice you’re gonna make. Yet, He lets us live, He keeps extending His grace through others around us, through our situations, through our experiences, through His creation Yet we do not see it we take it for granted or we choose to reject it.
In the book of Job, God seems proud of the dangerous creatures He has created on this earth. Namely the Leviathan and the Behemoth.
I’m starting to realise why. All these dangers reveal the grace of God in all our lives. How many times could we have been stung by a bee, bitten by a mosquito, poisoned, attacked by shark, experienced a natural disaster, encountered a wild hostile animal?
No matter how many precautions we take, we have to admit that many of these things are out of our control. The world can only teach precautions and about things that are under our control. But what about the things beyond our control?
Whose control are those under? That’s right. Everything listed above, all of these dangers listen and obey God.
If you have experienced any of these, or any real danger to your life, God is reminding you that your life is fragile, frail and fleeting. Do not take His grace for granted, If we keep rejecting Him, He will take it away from us.
God is reminding you time and time again that you’re not in control of many things in this world, you may be in control of what you eat for breakfast or might think you’re in control when actually in hindsight, God is the one providing that very meal for you, God is the one financially supporting you, God is extending that grace to you.
Romans 5:8-9
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!
Do not blind. do not be ignorant. Don’t ever think that you’re in control of your life. Absolutely nothing is hundred percent under your control in this world or in this life of yours.
You are fooling yourself if you do so.
James 4:13-17 NIV
”Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.“
Realise your limitations. Realise your weaknesses.
Acknowledge God’s control. Embrace and lean on His strength.
We think we are living the lives we want and can do whatever we want in this life, but in reality, whatever we happen to do or have done is only because God allowed it to happen. We can do what we want to do only because God lets us, as adults who can make their own decisions in life.
He gives us warnings, commandments, the law, and entire book to teach us how we should live our lives and then leaves it up to us to decide to follow and obey or completely disregard it afterwards.
Because if he forces us to obey and love him, then that’s not true love. God is not looking for robots, God is looking for a real relationship. He is a personal being with whom you can talk to.
Romans 8:28-39
Who can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord?
No one except us. Only we ourselves can choose to willingly separate from God’s love by blasphemy against the Spirit. In other words, conscious and hardened resistance against the truth leading us away from a spirit of humility and repentance. If we don’t repent of our sins, there can be no forgiveness and hence no grace of God meted out to us.
WILL YOU ACCEPT HIS GRACE AND LET HIM WORK IN YOU?
HE LONGS AND YEARNS FOR YOUR HEART TO RETURN TO HIM. HE KNOCKS ON IT EVERY DAY. HE'S DISPLAYING HIS GRACE ALWAYS, EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF TIMES. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, HE'S WORKING IN YOU. HE'S PICKING THE LOCKS OF OUR HEARTS AND MINDS. WILL YOU CONTINUE TO LOCK HIM OUT? OR WILL YOU OPEN THE DOOR AND WELCOME THE FLOODS OF HIS GRACE, LOVE AND HOPE.
